Aharon Yakobson(Yakobashvili)
Was born in 1958 in Tbilisi –
Georgia (the former USSR).
His work took him to Frankfurt
following graduation where his popularity
skyrocketed thanks to the local German art reviews
that raved about his unique painting style. By 1993
Aharon Yakobson would come back to the land of his
family, Israel, where many of his latest work is
prominently displayed in Zefat at his own permanent
exhibition gallery. Many of his works, including
"Dancer Woman" or "Fortune-Teller" feature
Yakobson's unique interpretation of the
extraordinary beauty that can be found in ordinary
individuals.
Using a liberal blend of colorful
abstractionism with detailed portrait art, Aharon
Yakobson puts his own personal stamp onto the
Israeli art scene. In addition to his portrait
paintings, Aharon Yakobson has a rich collection of
Jewish-centric art, including "Jewish Wedding" which
depicts the scene of a family gathered together for
a brief musical interlude to celebrate nuptials. His
Israeli art collection also includes animal-focused
paintings, and some abstract selections as well.

"Essentially complex, his work made
use of a phenomenal imagination, Aharon Yakobson is
an unusually rich, and innovative visual mind, vast
curiosity about methods of all types, the profound
poetic sensitivity, as well as unquenchable passion
to paint, and strongly defined as a set of the
intellectual positions."
